Outings With Lynn

This summer the Lord has blessed me to be able to disciple two women. Naomi is a young woman from Kansas who is wanting to grow in her walk with the Lord. Adrianna a young Catholic woman is searching to understand what her church teaches in accordance to the Bible. Both women have been such a joy to my heart in their thirst to learn more. I am highly aware that my ministry on college campuses will change tremendously once Abe becomes mobile. Just because I am a mother doesn’t mean my ministry will decrease, it will just look different. My ministry to my child is first and foremost and I delight in being a mother. Although my heart for evangelism and discipling women hasn’t changed, the avenue where this will be occurring will. On a recent outing to a department store this summer, God revealed a different avenue for me to minister in. He provided me with an opportunity to witness to a young cashier named Caress. We had a good conversation about her heading off to college and I told her about my new baby boy. Then the Lord laid it heavily upon my heart to share the Gospel. I told her about how Jesus Christ had changed my life and gave her a Gospel tract. I then promised her that I ‘d return with Abe so that she could meet him and so that I could hear what she thought of the tract. A few weeks later I returned and she met Abe. She said that her mom understood the Gospel tract way more than she did. I asked her if it would be okay if we could meet another time so that I could talk to her more, so we exchanged numbers. I pray that I can speak to her again soon, and that the Holy Spirit would be opening her eyes to Jesus.
