At the start of it all, there was Adam. For us, that has a double meaning. Southeast Community College Milford has been a struggle at best for us to re-establish a Campus Crusade for Christ on campus. After several trips down there, a few phone calls, and countless emails, God got the ball rolling. On average over the last month we have seen three students come faithfully to the Milford Campus Crusade. One of those three students goes by the name of Adam. Adam is your ordinary community college student. He doesn’t enjoy school and simply wants to get it over with so that he can start his career. He did not finish high school, is not polished grad school material, or a popular athlete. He is however, Adam. One day, after reading a book written by a passionate Christian evangelist, Adam got an idea. He thought it would be great if he would get up in front of his fellow students and share the gospel with them during their 20 minute break. After several days of unsuccessfully mustering up enough courage to do so, Adam met God with an ultimatum. “God, if you will turn off that TV that everyone is watching, I’ll get up and share the Gospel with everyone here. In Jesus name, Amen.” Much to Adam’s astonishment, the TV went to static. Some students got up to change the channel, but it would not help. The cable was, not working. After sitting for a few minutes trying to compose himself, Adam got up out of his chair, got everyone’s attention, and started talking. Adam couldn’t exactly recall what he said, or how he said it, but he knows that he shared the gospel, and people listened. Of course some walked out angry and wether they were angry at Adam, or the TV it is for God to know. We are so excited for Campus Crusade for Christ at Milford. They have a great bunch of students, as well as some great adult advisors. Please be praying as they are the only Christian organization on campus.
